This multilayer structure has at least one layer of each of a substrate (X), a layer (Y), and a layer (Z). The layer (Y) contains aluminum atoms. The layer (Z) contains a polymer (E) having a plurality of phosphorus atoms. The polymer (E) is a polymer of at least one kind of monomer containing vinyl phosphonic acid. In at least one set of the layer (Y) and the layer (Z), said layers are laminated adjacent to one another. The layer (Z) is formed by applying a coating solution (V), which is a solution of the polymer (E) having a plurality of phosphorus atoms. This multilayer structure has excellent gas barrier properties, and is able to maintain the gas barrier properties at a high level, even when subjected to physical stress such as deformation or shock. |
