abstract | Abstract Controlled studies demonstrate that products and related methods using soy related peptides lower total and LDL cholesterol levels in individuals. In one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, a product containing an effective amount of lunasin peptides that lowers cholesterol levels in an individual that consumes the lunasin peptides is provided. In another exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, a composition containing an effective amount of lunasin peptides or lunasin peptide derivatives and one or more enzyme inhibitors is provided.
