The aerosol-generating device (4) comprises: a cavity configured to receive an aerosol-generating article (2); a first solid-liquid phase-change material (16) positioned about a perimeter of the cavity; and heating means (14) configured to heat the first solid-liquid phase-change material (16) to a temperature above the melting point of the first solid-liquid phase-change material (16). The aerosol-generating device (4) further comprises: a second solid-liquid phase-change material (18), wherein the melting point of the second solid-liquid phase-change material (18) is higher than the melting point of the first solid-liquid phase-change material (16).
