CLOSURE TAPE DISPENSER A surgical portal apparatus (10) includes a sleeve (30) having a proximal end (32) and a distal end (34) that extends along a longitudinal axis, and a surgical tape (60). The sleeve (30) includes an inner wall (50) defining an internal longitudinal passageway (36) dimensioned for permitting passage of a surgical object therethrough and an outer wall (52) configured for positioning against tissue. The inner and outer walls (50, 52) define at least a partial annular space (54) therebetween, the annular space (54) being in fluid communication with an opening (56) in the outer wall (52). The surgical tape (60) includes a body portion (65) retained within the annular space (54) of the sleeve (30) and a leading tab (66) extendable through the opening (56) in the outer wall (52) of the sleeve (30).
