titleOfInvention | Biasing shaving razors |
abstract | A shaving razor 50 with a handle 200 having an elongated gripping section 210 with a pair of spaced apart integral arms 220, 222 defining a slot 224 having a slot width extending into the elongated gripping section. A cartridge support member 250, 252 is integral with and extends outwardly from each of the spaced apart arms. A cartridge 10 has a housing 12 with a guard 22, a cap 24, and at least one blade 26 between the cap and the guard. A bottom surface 14 of the housing has a cam face 104, 106 under the guard. Each cam face defines an open space and slidingly engages one of the cartridge support members for receiving forces from the handle to bias the cartridge in a rest position. The cartridge pivots relative to the handle between the rest position and a pivot position. The slot width is greater in the rest position than the slot width in the pivot position. |
