abstract | A method for screening a half-dry smell deodorizer, said method comprising contacting a microorganism capable of producing 4-methyl-3-hexenoic acid with test substances in the presence of sebum stain components, detecting the formation of a substance causing the half-dry smell by the microorganism, and thus selecting a test substance having an effect of deodorizing the half-dry smell. A method for evaluating a half-dry smell deodorizer, said method comprising contacting a microorganism capable of producing 4-methyl-3-hexenoic acid with a test substance in the presence of sebum stain components, detecting the formation of a substance causing the half-dry smell by the microorganism, and thus evaluating the half-dry smell deodorization effect of the test substance. |
