BIOSORBENTS FOR THE EXTRACTION OF METALS This invention refers to a process for the production of biosorbents for removing cationic or anionic metals from 5 aqueous solutions. Also described a biosorbent for the removal of metals from aqueous solutions that comprises bacterial aggregates of Bacillus sp. VCHB-10 deposited as NRRL-B-30881, treated with polyethyleneimine and crosslinked with glutaraldehyde and the use of the 10 biosorbent for removing metals in their cationic and anionic forms.
