abstract Disclosed are: a pharmaceutical composition which comprises a monoclonal antibody capable of binding specifically to an AD1 region of gB glycoprotein of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) (which is a virus causing various disease conditions) and having an excellent neutralizing ability for HCMV and an antigen-binding fragment of the monoclonal antibody; a monoclonal antibody which can bind specifically to a discontinuous sequence occurring in an AD1 region of HCMV and has an excellent neutralizing ability for HCMV and an inhibitory ability on the intercellular infection of HCMV, and an antigen-binding fragment of the monoclonal antibody; a pharmaceutical composition comprising the antibody or a fragment thereof; and others.
