titleOfInvention | Method for amplifying and/or detecting nucleic acids, kits and uses of said method |
abstract | The present invention relates to an amplification and/or detection method that can dispense with the contaminants in a liquid biological sample containing nucleic acids of interest to be amplified, the method including the following steps: a) chemically or enzymatically treating the biological sample to enable one type of base of said nucleic acids of interest to be converted into another type of base; b) adding amplification primers for specifically amplifying said converted nucleic acids of interest, each primer being made up of three different types of bases; c) adding to the biological sample, after said treatments, the reagents required for amplification, such as aqueous solution(s), solvent(s), nucleotides, enzyme(s), as well as said previously synthesised primers; d) placing said solution and the reagents in conditions that enable the amplification and/or detection of converted nucleic acids. The invention also relates to a kit for implementing such a method, as well as to a use of said method or kit specifically for amplifying and detecting bacterial, eubacterial, fungal, pan-fungal, viral, or yeast targets. The invention can preferably be used in the field of diagnostics. |
