abstract Disclosed is a method for refining a natural oil, characterized in that a raw natural oil to be treated is supplied into a reaction tank which is provided with a particulate photocatalyst layer and constructed such that the raw natural oil to be treated and oxygen and/or hydrogen can be passed through among photocatalyst particles in the layer, and thereafter, the raw natural oil is circulated while oxygen and/or hydrogen being introduced into the particulate photocatalyst layer so that the raw natural oil contacts with the photocatalyst particles, and the raw natural oil is refined while the temperature within the reaction tank is maintained at 40 to 110°C.
