The invention relates to a preparation comprising one or more iron(III) complex compounds, which have at pH 7 a redox potential of between -324 mV and -750 mV in relation to normal hydrogen electrodes (NHE) and one or more redox-active substances. The carbohydrates are selected from the group containing dextrans and hydrogenated dextrans, dextrines, oxidised or hydrogenated dextrines, pullulans, oligomers thereof and/or hydrogenated pullulans and the redox-active substance(s) is or are selected from the group containing ascorbic acid, vitamin E and cysteine, the group of physiologically compatible phenols and polyphenols consisting of quercetin, rutin, flavones, flavonoids and hydroquinones, or the group containing gluthathione, and is in particular ascorbic acid. |
