titleOfInvention | Multilayer plain bearings |
abstract | The invention relates to a multilayer plain bearing (1) comprising in the order given a support layer (2), a bearing metal layer (3), a diffusion barrier layer (4) and a sliding layer (5), wherein the sliding layer (5) is formed from a tin - based alloy and Diffusion barrier layer (4) consists of an alloy, in particular a copper alloy, which has a copper content of at least 30 wt .-%. The diffusion barrier layer (4) is not formed throughout the entire surface of the bearing metal layer (3), but extends over at least 85% of that surface. The diffusion barrier layer has an average layer thickness (7) of at least 0.5 μm. A nickel layer can be arranged between the bearing metal layer (3) and the diffusion barrier layer (4). The diffusion barrier layer (4) contains a maximum of 10 wt .-% nickel and between 3 and 30 wt .-% antimony. The tin-base alloy of the sliding layer (5) contains between 0 and 25% by weight of copper and between 0 and 15% by weight of antimony, the cumulative amount of copper and antimony being between 2 and 25% by weight. |
