titleOfInvention | COLOR LOYALTY TEST |
abstract | The invention relates to a method for determining color fidelity (AE) and / or for determining the perceivable color difference (AE) between two colors given by color vectors (E1, E2), wherein the two color vectors (E1, E2) relate to each other be set to a predetermined color space (R), and wherein each of the components of the respective color vector (E1, E2) respectively corresponds to the brightness measurement value of a sensor (10,11) for a predetermined wavelength or a predetermined wavelength range. According to the invention, it is provided that the color distance (AR) between the two color vectors (E1, E2) is determined, a base color vector (B) on one of the two color vectors (E1, E2) or by linking the two color vectors (E1, E2) in FIG Color space (R) is determined that a multiplier (AE) is determined by selecting from a number of predetermined multipliers (AE1, ..., AEn) in dependence on the base color vector (B), wherein the selected multiplier (AE) the ratio of the distance (AElocal) of color vectors transformed into the CIELAB color space (C) to approximate the distance (De) of these color vectors (E1, E2) in the given color space (R) within a given environment (u) of the base color vector (B), and that Perceptible color difference (AE) or color fidelity (AE) is determined as the product of the color difference (AR) and the multiplier (AE) according to AE = AR - AE. |
