The invention relates to the use of a compound of the following formula (I) for inducing differentiation of mammalian cells into cardiomyocyte-like cells: wherein the Xs are independently -NR4- or -O-, wherein R4 is hydrogen or C1-6-alkyl; R 1 is hydroxy, C 1-6 alkyl, C 1-6 alkoxy, carboxy, C 1-6 alkoxycarbonyl, halo, cyano, nitro, formyl, amino, C 1-6 alkylamino or di-C 1-6 alkylamino, optionally with one or more substituents R5, selected from hydroxy, halogen, cyano and nitro further substituted; n = 0 to 5; R 2 is hydrogen, aryl, heteroaryl or C 1-6 alkyl, wherein an aryl or heteroaryl radical is optionally further substituted with one or more substituents R 6, where R 6 is the same options as for R 1, and wherein a C1 -6-alkyl optionally substituted with one or more substituents R5 further substituted; and R3 is hydrogen, halogen, NR4R7, OR7, SR7 or R7 where R7 has the same options as R2; with the proviso that the compound of formula (I) is not 3 - [(4,6-diphenoxy-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl) amino] benzoic acid. |
