abstract The present invention relates to a process for treating cellulosic fibers and to compounds suitable for use in this process. According to the process of the invention, the cellulosic fibers with a textile auxiliary of the general formula (I) wherein X = halogen, especially Cl or Br, alkoxyl, hydroxyl, optionally substituted alkyl or arylamino, Z = a vinyl group or a group -CH2CH2-U, wherein U is an alkali substitutable group, eg Cl, OSO3H or SSO3H, A and B may be the same or different and may be H, methyl or methoxyl, D = an optionally substituted alkyl, aralkyl or aryl group, Y = a primary or secondary amino group, R and R1 are independently H , Methyl or ethyl, or brought into contact with a salt thereof.
