abstract | The invention relates to a method for pulp alkalization in which an aqueous suspension of the pulp is brought into contact and mixed with alkaline medium, preferably sodium hydroxide solution, and the resulting mixture is pressed off. The method of the invention is characterized in that the mixing of the suspension with the alkaline medium takes place in one or more fluidizing mixers. Oxygen is preferably added to the mixture in the fluidizing mixer. It is also possible to add oxidizing substances such as, for example, hydrogen peroxide to the mixture or a premix. <IMAGE> |
