abstract | The invention relates to articles based on titanium with a noble metal coating containing no nickel, in particular one based on gold, where the coating is applied electrolytically and comprises at least one further metal layer other than a noble metal outer layer, which are characterized in that the coating is formed by, starting from the titanium substrate, a plurality of electrolytically applied and diffusively joined layers in the order: 1. Alloy based on gold and palladium 1.1. Optional intermediate layer based on gold and cobalt, 2. Alloy based on gold, palladium and copper, 3.1. Alloy based on gold and palladium or 3.2. Gold-based alloy, in particular from the group consisting of gold-copper-cadmium alloys, gold-copper- zinc alloys, gold-iron alloys and gold-iron-iridium alloys. It further relates to a process for producing articles with a noble metal coating. |
