abstract Dispersion polymers composed of core-shell latex particles with a core made from a non-film-forming seed polymer have a shell composed of a copolymer which has been formed from monomers of the formula I, where n = from 1 to 6; R1 = H, CH3 and R2 and R3 are identical or different, where R2, R3 = -(CH2)m-CH3 where m = from 0 to 7 or = -CXYZ, where X, Y, Z = (CH2)p-CH3 and p = from 1 to 3, where X, Y, Z are identical or different, and from monomers of the formula II, where R = H, CH3 X = -NH, -O Y = SO3-, COO- Z = -(CH2)k-+N(CH2)m-H)2-, where k = from 1 to 12, m = from 1 to 6 a = from 0 to 6 b = from 0 to 1 c = from 1 to 12.
