titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR REMOVING NITROGEN OXIDES FROM GASES |
abstract | Process for removing oxides of nitrogen from gases, in which the molar ratio of NO to NO2 in this gas is first adjusted to 1 and the oxides of nitrogen are then absorbed in an aqueous ammonia solution, forming ammonium nitrate. In order to achieve the desired molar ratio in a simple manner, the invention provides for NO2 formed from the reaction of the ammonium nitrate with a strong acid to be injected in a regulative manner into the gas so as to set the molar ratio of NO to NO2. |
