titleOfInvention | REACTIVE curable polymer blend based on epoxides and polycarboxylic acid compounds |
abstract | Reactive curable polymer mixture based on X) epoxide compounds and Y) polycarboxylic acid components, where the mixture comprises, as polycarboxylic acid component Y), one or more compounds a) to c): a) of the formulae I or, respectively, Ia, b) polymers which contain OH groups and have not at this stage formed adducts with one another and correspond to R1 and to the acid anhydrides or reactive derivatives of these, or c) corresponding to the formulae I and/or Ia, but with the exception that some of the free COOH groups have been replaced by ester groups. R1 is the radical of a polymer or polyester having lateral OH groups or of a phenolic resin, R2 is a radical derived from an oligomeric anhydride based on trimellitic anhydride and aliphatic polyols and R5 has the same meaning as R2 or means the radical of an at least dibasic cyclic carboxylic acid having o- or peri-positioned COOH groups. The curable mixture may be used either in solvent- containing surface coatings or else in particular in powder coatings, which despite the high reactivity of the mixture are storage-stable. <IMAGE> [Formel = formula] |
