titleOfInvention | Volcanic rock grit for gardening / landscaping and agricultural applications |
abstract | The present invention relates to a litter material for growing the culture substrate or covering ground surfaces using granulated volcanic rock material, i.e. Lava rock and / or pumice and / or zeolite. The present litter material ensures optimal water and nutrient supply for crops and a healthy development of root system. Lands damaged by intensively agricultural, industrial and urban influences can be regenerated again using grit according to the invention. In particular, it is possible to counteract the problem of vibration compaction of the soil in the root area or a demixing of the substrate caused thereby and decreasing sorption and drainage ability. Furthermore, the litter material is outstandingly suitable as a permanent and non-rotting bark mulch set as well as winter litter, in particular as a substitute for soil-spreading salt litter. In special embodiments, ready-mixed soil activation substrates, which may be provided with microorganisms, fertilizers or plant excipients, can be provided which decisively improve the humid and microbiological climate of agricultural or horticultural soils. |
