abstract PREPARATION OF LATEX HOLLOW POLYMERS, WHERE THE EMULSION POLYMERIZATION IS MADE, IN A STAGE, OF MONOMERS, WITH HYDROCARBONS, (1) INTRODUCING IN A CONCENTRATE OF POLYMERIZATION THAT HAS AN ORIGINAL FACTORY. AND AN AQUEOUS PHASE, THE AQUEOUS PHASE BEING (A) WATER AND (B) AN EFFECTIVE AMOUNT OF INITIATOR SOLUBLE IN WATER; THE FIRST ORGANIC PHASE LOAD HAS (A) AN EFFECTIVE AMOUNT OF A MONOMER, WITH SOLUBILITY <3% IN THE AQUEOUS PHASE, UNDER CONDITIONS OF POLYMERIZATION, AND (B) A QUANTITY OF AN INERT, NON-POLYMERIZABLE HYDROCARBON, WHICH HAS A SOLUBILITY IN THE AQUEOUS PHASE <1%, UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF POLYMERIZATION, AND WHERE THE MONOMER IS MISSIBLE WITH ; AND (2) POLYMERIZING THE MONOMER UNDER CONDITIONS THAT PRODUCE A LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYMER, SO THAT THE PHASE OF LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYMER IS SEPARATED FROM THE ORGANIC PHASE, AND IS CONCENTRATED ON THE SURFACE OF THE ORGANIC PHASE, AND (3 ) INTRODUCING IN THE CONTAINER A 2ND LOAD FROM THE ORGANIC PHASE TO THE AQUEOUS PHASE, WHEN THE LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYMER REACHES A CONVERSION FROM MONOMER TO POLYMER OF 80% IN WEIGHT OR LESS, WHERE THE 2ND. LOAD OF THE ORGANIC PHASE INCLUDES AN INTERLOCKING MONOMER, WHICH IS EMBEDDED IN THE LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYMER PHASE; AND (4) POLYMERIZING THE INTERLOCKING MONOMER WITH THE LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYMER, PRODUCING A HOLLOW PARTICLE OF POLYMERIC LATEX.
