At present, many herbicidal compositions have been developed and used, although there are many types of weeds that must be controlled, and their development takes a long period of time. Accordingly, it has been desired to develop a herbicidal composition which has a broader herbicidal spectrum, high activity and residual activity, and therefore is capable of controlling unwanted plants for a long period of time. It also provides a herbicidal composition comprising as active ingredients (a) at least one carotenoid biosynthesis inhibitor selected from the group consisting of tolpyralate, bicyclopyrone, isoxaflutole, pyrasulfotol, sulcotrione, and tremotrione, and (b) at least one inhibitor. of lipid biosynthesis selected from the group consisting of cafenstrol, phenoxasulfone, indanophane, oxaziclomefone, methiozoline, and metamifop. |
