titleOfInvention ESTERS OR AMIDAS OF ALCOXYLATED HYDROXIBENZOIC ACID
abstract Alkoxylates according to formula (1) are described, wherein: X is selected from ethoxy and mixtures of ethoxy and propoxy groups; T is selected from the group consisting of H, C₁₋₄ alkyl, SO₃⁻, CH₂-COO⁻, sulfosuccinate and PO₃²⁻; R¹, R² and R⁴ are H, CO-NR⁸R³ or COO- [X¹] ᵛ-R³, where two of the substituents R¹, R² and R⁴ are H and the third of these substituents is CO-NR⁸R³ or COO- [X¹] ᵛ -R³; R⁸ is H or a linear or branched alkyl group with 1 to 4 C atoms; R³ is a linear or branched saturated alkyl group with 6 to 30 carbon atoms, a linear or branched mono- or polyunsaturated alkenyl group with 6 to 30 carbon atoms, an aryl group with 6 to 10 carbon atoms, a group (CH₂CH₂O) ₘ-aryl, where the aryl group comprises 6 to 10 carbon atoms, and m, on a molar average, is a number from 1 to 100, or a linear or branched C₁₋₃ alkyl group substituted with aryl where the aryl group it comprises 6 to 10 carbon atoms, but in the case that R¹ and R⁴ are H and R² is COOR³, R³ can only be an alkyl group, an alkenyl group or a (CH₂CH₂O) ₘ-aryl group as defined above; X¹ is selected from ethoxy and mixtures of ethoxy and propoxy groups; or on a molar average, it is a number from 3 to 100; and v on a molar average, is a number from 0 to 20. The compounds of the formula (1) can be conveniently used as anti-redeposition agents in laundry applications.
