An aqueous composition is provided comprising latex polymer particles comprising (a) 40% to 95% by weight based on the dry weight of the latex polymer, a core polymer comprising (i) polymerized units of one or more monomers of monofunctional vinyl, and (ii) polymerized units of one or more multivinyl monomers, and (b) 5% to 60% by weight based on the dry weight of the latex polymer, a shell polymer comprising (i) polymerized units of one or several monofunctional vinyl monomers, and (ii) polymerized units of one or more vinyl monomers having a latent crosslinking group selected from the group consisting of trialkoxysilyl groups, oxoacetyl groups and mixtures thereof. |
