titleOfInvention DRY FORMULATIONS OF VACCINES THAT ARE STABLE AT ENVIRONMENTAL TEMPERATURE
abstract Dry formulations of stable vaccines at room temperature comprising a live attenuated virus, a sugar stabilizer, and an amino acid stabilizer. Preparation of said vaccines, and methods of protecting an animal by administering said vaccines. Claim 1: A dry formulation of a vaccine comprising a live attenuated virus, 30% to 80% (w / w) of a non-reducing oligosaccharide, 5% to 40% (w / w) of an amino acid stabilizer, 2% at 20% (w / w) of a protein stabilizer, and a regulator that has a pH of 6.0 to 8.0. Claim 3: The dry formulation of claim 1 or 2, wherein the live attenuated virus is a live attenuated virus selected from the group consisting of a distemper virus, an adenovirus, a parainfluenza virus, a recombinant viral vector that encodes and expresses a heterologous antigen, and any of its combinations. Claim 7: The dry formulation of claims 1 to 6, wherein the non-reducing oligosaccharide is selected from the group consisting of sucrose, trehalose, raffinose and any combination thereof; and where the pH is pH 6.2 to 7.5. Claim 9: The dry formulation of claims 1 to 8, wherein the amino acid stabilizer is arginine. Claim 13: The dry formulation of claims 1 to 12, wherein the protein stabilizer is selected from the group consisting of gelatin, a whole casein proteolytic hydrolyzate, and one of its combinations.
