abstract The present provides a compound which has a specific lysine 1 demethylase inhibitory activity and is useful as a medicinal agent such as a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for cancer and diseases of the central nervous system. This refers to a compound represented by the formula (1). Claim 1: A compound represented by the formula (1) characterized in that A is a hydrocarbon group that optionally has a substituent (s), or a heterocyclic group that optionally has a substituent (s); R is a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group that optionally has a substituent (s), or a heterocyclic group that optionally has a substituent (s); or A and R are optionally linked together to form a ring that optionally has a substituent (s); Q¹, Q², Q³ and Q⁴ each are independently a hydrogen atom or a substituent; Q¹ and Q², and Q³ and Q⁴, each are optionally linked together to form a ring that optionally has a substituent (s); X is a hydrogen atom, an acyclic hydrocarbon group that optionally has a substituent (s), or a saturated cyclic group that optionally has a substituent (s); Y¹, Y² and Y³ each are independently a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group that optionally has a substituent (s), or a heterocyclic group that optionally has a substituent (s); X and Y¹, and Y¹ and Y², each are optionally joined together to form a ring that optionally has a substituent (s); and Z¹, Z² and Z³ each are independently a hydrogen atom or a substituent; or a salt thereof.
