abstract | Claim 1: A liquid agrochemical composition comprising a mixture of: (a) one or more agrochemically active ingredients; (b) a C₁₋₆ alkyl methacrylate polymer; and (c) a solvent system comprising: (c1) an alcohol solvent comprising hexylene glycol (2-methyl-2,4-pentanediol), benzyl alcohol, diacetone alcohol (2-methyl-4-oxo-pentane-2 -ol or 4-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-pentanone), isobutanol, n-pentanol, n-hexanol, n-heptanol, n-octanol, 2-ethyl-hexanol, cyclohexanol, dipropylene glycol, diethylene glycol monomethyl ether, ether dipropylene glycol, ethylene glycol monomethyl or a mixture of two or more of these alcohols; and (c2) a heavy aromatic hydrocarbon solvent. Claim 2: A liquid agrochemical composition, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the C₁₋₆ alkyl methacrylate polymer is a C₃₋₆ alkyl methacrylate polymer. Claim 3: A liquid agrochemical composition, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the alkyl C₁₋₆ methacrylate polymer comprises an isobutyl methacrylate polymer. Claim 15: A liquid agrochemical composition, as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 14, wherein the heavy aromatic hydrocarbon solvent (c2) comprises a mixture of naphthalenes substituted by alkyl (s), wherein the alkyl (s) they contain 1, 2, 3 or 4 or more carbon atoms in total; and wherein the naphthalenes substituted by alkyl (s) are present in a total of 50% to 100% by weight of the heavy aromatic hydrocarbon solvent. Claim 19: A liquid agrochemical composition, as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 18, which is in the form of an emulsifiable concentrate (FC), an oil dispersion (OD), a dispersible concentrate (DC) or a microemulsifiable concentrate. Claim 22: A liquid agrochemical composition, as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 21, which is a herbicidal composition, and wherein the agrochemical active ingredient (s) comprise one or more herbicides. Claim 23: A liquid agrochemical composition, as claimed in claim 22, wherein the agrochemical active ingredient (s) comprise one or more herbicides that are selected from: pinoxadén, clodinafop-propargilo, phenoxaprop-P-ethyl, pyroxsulam or a agrochemically acceptable salt thereof, florasulam or an agrochemically acceptable salt thereof, and a fluroxypyr ester. Claim 27: A liquid herbicidal composition comprising a mixture of: (a) one or more agrochemically active ingredients comprising one or more herbicides, wherein the herbicide (s) comprise: (a1) pinoxadén; or (a2) florasulam or an agrochemically acceptable salt thereof; or (a2a) metosulam or an agrochemically acceptable salt thereof; or (a2b) diclosulam or an agrochemically acceptable salt thereof; or (a2c) chloratram-methyl; or (a3) clodinafop-propargyl; or a combination of (a2) florasulam or an agrochemically acceptable salt thereof with (a1) pinoxadén and / or (a3) clodinafop-propargyl; or a combination of (a2a) metosulam or an agrochemically acceptable salt thereof with (a1) pinoxadén and / or (a3) clodinafop-propargyl; and (c) a solvent system comprising: (c3) a (C-alkylene) carbonate; and (c1a) an alcohol solvent comprising (for example, which essentially consists of or is) hexylene glycol (2-methyl-2,4-pentanediol), benzyl alcohol, diacetone alcohol (2-methyl-4-oxo-pentane -2-ol or 4-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-pentanone), isobutanol, n-pentanol, n-hexanol, n heptanol n-octanol, 2-ethyl-hexanol, cyclohexanol, dipropylene glycol, diethylene glycol monomethyl ether, ether dipropylene glycol monomethyl or a mixture of two or more of these alcohols. Claim 43: An agrochemical composition, preferably herbicidal, liquid, preferably in the form of an emulsifiable concentrate (EC), comprising a mixture of: (a) one or more agrochemically active ingredients that preferably comprise one or more herbicides; and (d) a surfactant system comprising: (d1) a copolymer of butanol [ethylene oxide (EO) -propylene oxide (PO)]; (d2) ethoxylated castor oil; and (d3) a block copolymer of ethylene oxide (EO) and propylene oxide (PO). Claim 46: A method of controlling and / or inhibiting weed growth (preferably monocotyledonous weeds, more preferably grassy monocotyledonous weeds), said method comprising the following steps (a) and (b); (a) mixing in a container (preferably in a tank such as a spray tank): (i) a liquid agrochemical composition or liquid herbicidal composition according to any one of claims 1 to 45, which is a first herbicidal composition, and wherein the agrochemically active ingredient (s) comprise one or more herbicides, (ii) an agriculturally acceptable aqueous solvent that is a suitable carrier for spraying the first herbicidal composition onto a field (preferably water), and (iii) optionally, one, two or more additional herbicidal compositions, each independently comprising one or more additional herbicides, to form a dilute aqueous liquid herbicidal composition; and (b) apply (preferably spray) the diluted aqueous liquid herbicidal composition to the weeds or locus thereof (preferably after the emergence of the weeds). |
