abstract A pharmaceutical composition for oral administration of nitazoxanide, useful for the treatment of intestinal parasitic infections in the form of suspension granules. The composition contains: (a) an immediate release fraction composed of uncoated granules or nitazoxanide granular powder and (b) a pH-dependent release fraction formed of nitazoxanide granules coated by one or more pH-dependent solubility polymers , formed by coated granules that begin to release between pH 5.0 and pH 7.5.
