titleOfInvention USE OF GUEST DEFENSE INDUCTORS TO CONTROL HARMFUL BACTERIAL ORGANISMS IN USEFUL PLANTS
abstract Claim 1: Use of host defense inducers to control harmful bacterial organisms in useful plants, wherein the harmful bacterial organisms are selected from the group consisting of Acidovorax avenae, Burkholdena spec., Burkholderia glumae, Candidatus Liberibacter spec., Corynebacterium, Ewinia spec., Pseudomonas syringae, Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidae, Pseudomonas syringae pv. glycinea, Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato, Pseudomonas syringae pv. Iachrymans, Streptomyces spp., Xanthomonas spp., Xanthomonas axonopodis, Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri, Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. glycines, Xanthomonas campestris, Xanthomonas campestris pv. Musacearum, Xanthomonas campestris pv. pruni, Xanthomonas fragariae and Xanthomonas transluscens. Claim 2: Use according to claim 1, wherein the host defense inducers are selected from the group consisting of acibenzolar-S-methyl, isothianyl, probenazole and thiadinyl or combinations thereof. Claim 3: Use according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the host defense inducer is isothianyl. Claim 11: Use according to any one of claims 1 to 10, wherein the host defense inducer or a combination thereof is present in a composition comprising at least one additional compound selected from the group consisting of bactericides , antibiotics, fungicides, herbicides, micronutrients and compounds containing micronutrients, and lipo-chitoso-oligosaccharide (LCO) compounds. Claim 13: Use according to claim 11 or 12, wherein the host defense inducer is isothianyl and the at least one additional compound is selected from the group consisting of fosethyl-Al, penflufen, azoxystrobin, trifloxystrobin, hydroxide of copper, copper sulfate, copper oxychloride, copper, propineb, mancozeb, lipo-chitoso-oligosaccharide (LCO) compounds, kasugamycin, streptomycin, and oxytetracycline. Claim 14: Method for controlling harmful bacterial organisms in useful plants characterized in any one of claims 1 to 13, the method comprises treating the plants with a host defense inducer.
