abstract | Methods to identify a mammal that has an increased susceptibility to enamel erosion. Sets of elements, uses and other methods based on them. Claim 1: A set of elements (kit) for identifying patients susceptible to erosion of dentin or enamel, characterized in that it comprises (a) a device for obtaining a sample of the enamel film acquired from the oral cavity of a mammal; (b1) an immunoblot to analyze a saliva parameter that is selected from the group consisting of the level of mucin 5b, the level of carbonic anhydrase 6, the level of the staterin, the level of the staterin in film 1 hour after the acquisition and any combination thereof; and / or (b2) a colorimetric test, a mass spectrometry test with inductive coupling plasma (ICP / MS) or an atomic absorption test to analyze the level of calcium in the film in saliva 1 hour after acquisition ; (c) a BCA stock solution comprising (i) bicinconinic acid, (ii) sodium carbonate, (iii) sodium bicarbonate, (iv) sodium tartrate and (v) sodium cupric sulfate pentahydrate; and (d) instructions to identify patients susceptible to erosion of dentin or enamel, where susceptibility is determined on the basis of one or more of the following levels: (i) a mucin 5b level less than 250 mg / ml, (ii) a level of carbonic anhydrase 6 less than 35 mg / ml, (iii) a level of staterin greater than 15 mg / ml, (iv) a level of staterin in the film 1 hour after Acquisition less than 30 ng or (v) a level of calcium in the film 1 hour after acquisition less than 0.001 mol / mm². |
