abstract | Claim 1: Biocidal composition of active powders for application in for example yarns, filaments, laminated plastics, nonwoven fabrics, foams, adhesives, gels, emulsions, and / or creams, resins (either melamine or any other type), paints or varnishes or wood impregnation, characterized in that it comprises at least two copper salts and at least one zinc salt or at least one copper salt and at least two zinc salts, such that the molar ratio between the total salts of Copper and total zinc salts are in the range of 10 to 1; at least one of the salts used in the mixture must have a particle size approximately less than 0.5 mm; and each copper and zinc salt, separately, have a solubility constant (Kps) in the range from a value greater than or equal to 1 * 10⁻²⁰ to a value less than or equal to 9 * 10⁻⁶.
