titleOfInvention MIXED OXIDE COMPOSITIONS AND PROCESS TO PREPARE ISOOLEFINS
abstract This refers to the composition of mixed oxides, its use as a catalyst for the cleavage of alkyl ether butyl tertiary alcohols, and a process for cleaving alkyl ether butyl tertiary alcohols to isoolefins and alcohol or water. Claim 1: Oxide composition mixed comprising a silicon and aluminum mixed oxide powder that is predominantly or completely present in the form of primary aggregate particles and in which a) the weight ratio (AI2O3 / SiO2) ttl in the total primary particle is 0.002 a 0.05, preferably 0.003 to 0.015, more preferably 0.005 to 0.01, b) the weight ratio (Al2O3 / SiO2) surface of the primary particles in a layer near the surface having a thickness of approximately 5 nm it is smaller than in the total primary particle and c) the BET surface area is 50 to 250 m2 / g, preferably 100 to 200 m2 / g; and alkali metal or alkaline earth metal oxides.
