abstract | The aluminum salt enables a reduction in the level of antagonism of the herbicidal activity against herbaceous weeds mediated by pinoxaden that could occur otherwise. Claim 1: A herbicidal composition comprising a mixture of: (a) a first herbicide which is a synthetic auxin herbicide or an herbicide inhibitor of acetolactate synthase (ALS); where the first herbicide is present in the form of an aluminum salt; where the first herbicide is sufficiently acidic, when it is devoid of salt, to give rise to the formation of an aluminum salt thereof; and in which the first herbicide, when in a form devoid of salt or when in the form of a non-aluminum salt, antagonizes the herbicidal activity of pinoxaden; and (b) pinoxaden. |
