titleOfInvention AZEOTROPIC AND QUASI AZEOTROPIC COMPOSITIONS OF Z-1,1,1,4,4,4-HEXAFLUORO-2-BUTENO, TRANS-1,2-DICLOROETHYLENE, AND A THIRD COMPONENT
abstract Azeotropic or quasi azeotropic compositions. The azeotropic or quasi azeotropic compositions are mixtures of Z-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene, trans-1,2-dichloroethylene and a third component. Also described are compositions in which the third component is cyclopentane, methanol, dimethioxymethane, methyl formate or perfluoro ethyl isopropyl ketone. A process for preparing a thermoplastic or thermosetting foam using the azeotropic or quasi azeotropic compositions as blowing agents is also described. A process for producing refrigeration using the azeotropic or quasi azeotropic compositions is also described. A process for using azeotropic or quasi azeotropic compositions as solvents is also described. A process for producing an aerosol product using the azeotropic or quasi azeotropic compositions is also described. A process for using azeotropic or quasi azeotropic compositions as heat transfer media is also described. A process for extinguishing or extinguishing fires using azeotropic or quasi azeotropic compositions is also described. A process for using azeotropic or quasi azeotropic compositions as dielectric is also described.
