abstract Nitrogenous heteroaryl derivatives of formula (1) or (2), where the meanings for the different substituents are those indicated in the description. These compounds are useful as inhibitors of JAK kinases, particularly JAK3. A process for its preparation is also provided. Claim 1: A compound characterized by formula (1) or (2) wherein: A is carbon and B is nitrogen, or A is nitrogen and B is carbon; W is CH or N; R1 and R2 are, independently, hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl, C1-4 haloalkyl, C1-4 hydroxyalkyl, C1-4 cyanoalkyl, C1-4 alkoxy C1-4alkyl, halogen, -CN, -OR8 or -SR8; R3 is C1-4 alkyl, R9-C1-4 alkyl, Cy1 or Cy2-C1-4 alkyl, where Cy1 and Cy2 are optionally substituted by one or more R10; R4 is hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl, C1-4 haloalkyl, C1-4 alkoxy C1-4alkyl, C1-4 hydroxyalkyl, C1-4 cyanoalkyl, R12R7N-C0-4 alkyl, R13CONR7-C0-4 alkyl, R13R7NCO-C0 alkyl -4, R12R7NCONR7-C0-4 alkyl, R13CO2NR7-C0-4 alkyl, R13SO2NR7-C0-4 alkyl, -OR12 or Cy2-C0-4 alkyl; where Cy2 is optionally substituted by one or more R11; R5 is hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl, C1-4 haloalkyl, C1-4 alkoxy C1-4alkyl, C1-4 hydroxyalkyl, C1-4 cyanoalkyl, halogen, -CN, -OR12, -NR7R12, or Cy2-C0-4 alkyl , where Cy2 is optionally substituted by one or more R11; R6 is hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl, C1-4 alkoxy C1-4 alkyl, C1-4 hydroxyalkyl, R12R7N-C1-4 alkyl, R16CO-C0-4 alkyl, R16CO2-C0-4 alkyl, R16CO-O-C1-alkyl 4, C1-4 cyanoalkyl, Cy1 or Cy2-C1-4 alkyl, where Cy1 and Cy2 are optionally substituted by one or more R11; R7 is hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl; R8 is hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl, C1-4 haloalkyl, C1-4 hydroxyalkyl, or C1-4 alkoxy C1-4alkyl; R9 is halogen, -CN, -CONR7R12, -COR13, -CO2R12, -OR12, -OCONR7R12, -SO2R13, -SO2NR7R12, -NR7R12, -NR7COR12, -NR7CONR7R12, -NR7CO2R13 or -NR7SO2R; R10 is C1-4 alkyl or R9-C0-4 alkyl; R11 is C1-4 alkyl, C1-4 haloalkyl, C1-4 alkoxy C1-4alkyl, C1-4 hydroxyalkyl, C1-4 cyanoalkyl, halogen, -CN, -CONR7R14, -COR14, -CO2R15, -OR14, -OCONR7R14, -SO2R15, -SO2NR7R14, -NR7R14, -NR7COR14, -NR7CONR7R14, -NR7CO2R15 or -NR7SO2R15; R12 is hydrogen or R13; R13 is C1-5 alkyl, C1-4 haloalkyl, C1-4 alkoxy C1-4alkyl, C1-4 hydroxyalkyl, C1-4 cyanoalkyl, Cy2-C0-4 alkyl or R14R7N-C1-4 alkyl; where Cy2 is optionally substituted by one or more R11; R14 is hydrogen or R15; R15 is C1-4 alkyl, C1-4 haloalkyl, C1-4 alkoxy C1-4alkyl, C1-4 hydroxyalkyl or C1-4 cyanoalkyl; R16 is C1-4 alkyl, C1-4 haloalkyl, C1-4 alkoxy C1-4 alkyl or C1-4 cyanoalkyl; Cy1 is a monocyclic ring of 3 to 7 members or bicyclic of 6 to 11 members, which is saturated, partially unsaturated or aromatic, and is carbocyclic or heterocyclic containing 1 to 4 heteroatoms independently selected from N, S and O, where said ring is attached to the rest of the molecule through any available C atom, and where one or more C or S atoms of the ring are optionally oxidized forming CO, SO or SO2; and Cy2 is a 3- to 7-membered monocyclic or 6 to 11-membered bicyclic ring, which is saturated, partially unsaturated or aromatic, and which is carbocyclic or heterocyclic containing from 1 to 4 heteroatoms independently selected from N, S and O, wherein said ring is attached to the rest of the molecule through any available C or N atom, and where one or more C or S atoms are optionally oxidized forming CO, SO or SO2; or a salt thereof.
