titleOfInvention | SUPPLY PARTICLE CONTAINING BENEFIT AGENTS |
abstract | Delivery particles containing beneficial agents, compositions comprising those particles and processes for making and using the aforementioned particles and compositions. When used in compositions, for example, cleaning or fabric care compositions, these particles increase the efficiency of the delivery of the beneficial agent and thus allow a reduced amount of beneficial agents to be used. In addition to allowing the amount of beneficial agent to be reduced, such particles allow the use of a wide variety of beneficial agents. Claim 1: A composition comprising: a) beneficial agent delivery particles comprising a core material comprising a material selected from the group comprising a perfume raw material or a material selected from the group comprising vegetable oils, oil esters vegetables, esters, straight or branched chain hydrocarbons, partially hydrogenated terphenyls, dialkyl phthalates, alkyl biphenyls, alkylated naphthalene, petroleum distillates, aromatic solvents, silicone oils, and mixtures thereof and an outer shell; the outer shell at least partially surrounds the core material, the shell preferably comprises a resin selected from the group comprising a reaction product of an aldehyde, preferably formaldehyde with an amine, wherein said amine is selected from the group comprising melamine, urea , benzoguanamine, glycoluril and mixtures thereof: i) at least 75%, preferably at least 85%, more preferably at least 90% of the beneficial agent delivery particles having a fracture resistance of approximately 0.2 mPa to 10 mPa, preferably 0.4 mPa to 5 mPa, more preferably 0.6 mPa to 3.5 mPa, most preferably 0.7 mPa to 3 mPa; and ii) the particles exhibit a leak of the beneficial agent from 0% to 30%; preferably from 0% to 20%, more preferably from 0% to 5%; and b) an additional consumer product ingredient, preferably comprising a structuring agent; The structurant comprises a material selected from the group comprising polysaccharides, modified celluloses, modified proteins, inorganic salts, quaternized polymeric materials, imidazoles; non-ionic polymers having a pKa of less than 6.0; polyurethanes, and mixtures thereof; and c) preferably a formaldehyde scrubber. |
