A method to instantly reduce the presence of wrinkles and imperfections of the skin while smoothing the skin, which comprises the application of a cosmetic composition comprising a gel based on fractal particles. Claim 1: A cosmetic composition for application to a biological substrate wherein said composition comprises a fractal gel comprising a first fractal particle and a second fractal particle with opposite surface charges at a given pH. Claim 7: The cosmetic composition of claim 1, wherein said fractal particles are metal oxide particles selected from the group consisting of smoked silica, smoked alumina, smoked titanium oxide, smoked zirconium oxide, smoked cerium oxide, zinc oxide smoked, smoked indium-tin oxide and mixtures thereof. |
