titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF DIESTERS
abstract This refers to a process for the manufacture of diesters, from imide or dinitrile compounds. It refers, more particularly, to a process for the manufacture of diester compounds, from dinitrile compounds, using a vapor phase hydrolysis of dinitrile compounds, in the presence of alcohol, to produce diester compounds. More particularly, it refers to a process for the manufacture of diesters from branched dinitrile compounds, such as branched methylglutónitrile or dinitrile compounds obtained as by-products in the process for the manufacture of adiponitrile, by hydrogenation of butadiene.
