TETOMILAST CRYSTALS, METHODS TO PREPARE THEM AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS THAT CONTAIN THEM. |
abstract |
Provides tetomilast crystal. (1) A tetomilast hydrate crystal having a powder X-ray diffraction spectrum that is substantially the same as the powder X-ray diffraction spectrum illustrated in fig. 2; (2) a type A anhydrous tetomilast crystal having a powder X-ray diffraction spectrum that is substantially the same as the powder X-ray diffraction spectrum illustrated in fig. 4; (3) an anhydrous type C tetomilast crystal having a powder X-ray diffraction spectrum that is substantially the same as the powder X-ray diffraction spectrum illustrated in fig. 8; (4) a solvate glass of tetomilast acetonitrile having a powder X-ray diffraction spectrum that is substantially the same as the powder X-ray diffraction spectrum illustrated in fig. 10; and (5) a mixture consisting of the above type A anhydrous tetomilast crystal and a type B anhydrous tetomilast crystal. Accordingly, these crystals are preferably used in pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of diseases caused by the excessive generation of radioactive oxygen species such as lipid peroxide. |
