titleOfInvention PREPARATION PROCESS OF AZOXISTROBIN AND COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE COMPOUND
abstract This refers, inter alia, to a process for preparing a compound of formula (1) which comprises either (a) reacting a compound of formula (2) with 2-cyanophenol, or a salt thereof, in the presence of between 0.1 and 2 moles% of 1,4-diazabicyclo [2.2.2] octane or (b) reacting a compound of the formula (3) with a compound of the formula (4) in the presence of between 0.1 and 2 mol% 1,4-diazabicyclo [2.2.2] octane; where W is the methyl group (E) -2- (3-methoxy) acrylate C (CO2CH3) = CHOCH3 or the methyl group 2- (3,3-dimethoxy) propanoate C (CO2CH3) CH (OCH3) 2, or a Mix of the two groups. In addition, this refers to new precursors the compound of formula (1) and methods for making them. These compounds show properties as fungicides.
