Use of an extended flexible regimen for hormonal contraception, useful for treating bleeding problems associated with the fixed extended use of hormonal contraceptives and pharmaceutical packaging containing the respective hormonal contraceptive. Claim 1: A method for female hormonal contraception, characterized in that it comprises the continuous single-phase administration of an active preparation of ethinyl estradiol in an amount of 5 to <30 (mu) g daily, or of another synthetic or natural estrogen in an amount equivalent to 5 at <30 (mu) g of ethinylestradiol daily, and a progestogen in a contraceptive amount for women for a first minimum period as long as the woman wishes, after which the woman begins an interval of 1 to 6 days of said administration of said active preparation, and where said interval is followed by at least one subsequent administration cycle whose duration is at least equal to that of the first minimum period. |
