titleOfInvention ESTEREOSELECTIVE BIOCONVERSION OF ALIFATIC DINITRILS IN CYANOCARBOXYL ACIDS
abstract This is directed to a regional and esteroselective bioconversion of aliphatic dinitriles selected in the corresponding cyanocarboxylic acids. More particularly, the present provides methods for the conversion of 2-isobutyl succinonitrile into (S) -3-cyano-5-methylhexanoic acid, which is an intermediate product useful in the synthesis of (S) -3- (aminomethyl acid) ) -5-methylhexanoic (pregabalin). Pregabalin can be used to treat certain brain diseases, for example, in the treatment and prevention of sudden disorders, pain, and psychotic disorders.
