titleOfInvention METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RECOVERING HYDROCARBON FLUIDS FROM A UNDERGROUND
abstract This refers to a method for modifying the water permeability of an underground formation comprising injecting into the underground formation an aqueous composition comprising from about 0.005 percent to about 2 percent, by weight, of a branched polyhydroxyeteramine with alkyl or alkylene or a salt thereof, wherein the branched polyhydroxyeteramine with alkylene oxide or fatty alkyl is prepared by reacting a diepoxide with a) one or more amines operated with fatty alkyl or alkylene oxide or a mixture of one or more alkylene oxide-operated amines and b) one or more amines having two reactive hydrogen atoms and c) optionally reacting the resulting polyhydroxydeterm with an acid or alkylating agent to form the salt.
