abstract A liquid dye suspension for cement-based compositions containing polycarboxylate dispersant, pigment and thixotropic additive. Said liquid dye suspension increases the color of the cement-based compositions, reduces the water content and is stable in the long term because its viscosity does not increase over time. Claim 26: The composition of claim 1 or 12 wherein the polycarboxylate dispersant of the liquid dye suspension is at least one of: a) a dispersant of Formula (1): wherein in formula (1) X is at least one hydrogen, an alkali earth metal ion, an alkaline earth metal ion, an ammonium ion, or amine; R is at least one of C1-6 alkyl (eno) ether or mixtures thereof or C1-6 alkyl (eno) ether or mixtures thereof; Q is at least one of oxygen, NH, or sulfur; p is a number between 1 and about 300 to give at least one of a linear side chain or branched side chain; R1 is at least one of hydrogen, hydrocarbon of between C1 and C2, or hydrocarbon functionalized with at least one of: -OH, -COOH, an ester or amide derivative of -COOH, sulfonic acid, an ester or amide derivative of sulfonic acid, or epoxy; And it is at least one of hydrogen, an alkali earth metal ion, an alkaline earth metal ion, an ammonium ion, amine, a hydrophobic hydrocarbon or a polyalkylene oxide unit that functions as an antifoam;
