titleOfInvention DEVICE FOR THE CLEANING OF A MEDICAL INSTRUMENT, A CONTAINER CONTAINER OF SUCH CLEANING DEVICE AND A METHOD OF CLEANING THE EXTERIOR SURFACE OF A MEDICAL INSTRUMENT
abstract Device for cleaning a medical instrument, such as an endoscope, in the form of a pad that includes a cloth, cloth or sponge (2), with grooves (4,5) to form a cylindrical tunnel around the endoscope, and impregnated with a compound formed by an enzyme such as a protease, alklase, cellulose, lipolase, a surfactant and a humectant, present in an amount that ensures the absorption of enough water to reduce any risk caused by the use of the enzyme in its dry form, keeping Simultaneously enzymatic activity during storage. The cleaning device is configured to remove a part of the dirt adhering to the outside of a medical instrument by mechanical rubbing and to redistribute any remaining external dirt so that it is like a film of smaller thickness and more uniform than the instrument not rubbed . Additionally, a container containing said cleaning device and a method of cleaning the outer surface of a medical instrument are disclosed.
