abstract Fluorobenzamide derivatives of the general formula (1) wherein: R1 is H, C1-6 alkyl or hydroxy- (C1-6) -alkyl; R2 is C1-6 alkyl, -CO-NR8R9; - (CH2) n-NR8R9; - (CH2) p-OR8, or - (CH2) n-CN; R3 is selected from H, halogen, halogen- (C1-6) -alkyl, cyano, C1-6 alkoxy or halogen- (C1-6) -alkoxy; R4, R5, R6 and R7 are H or F, and at least one of R4, R5, R6 and R7 is F; R8 and R9 independently of each other are H or C1-6 alkyl; m is 1, 2 or 3; n is 0, 1, 2 or 3; and p is 1 or 2; as well as its pharmaceutically acceptable salts. Production processes of the compounds of formula (1), medicine prepared based on said compounds and uses thereof for the production of medicines. The compounds of the general formula (1) are selective monoamine oxidase B inhibitors and therefore these are suitable for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease or senile dementia. Claim 27: A process for the production of a compound of formula (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 26, such processes comprise: the reaction of a compound of formula (2) with a compound of formula (3) for obtaining a compound of formula (4) that is transformed to a compound of formula (5) and treated with compounds of formula (6) to obtain a compound of formula (1), and if desired, the conversion of a compound of formula (1) in a pharmaceutically acceptable salt.
