Recombinant chimeric protein composed of a 60 amino acid fragment from the N-terminal region of human interleukin 2 (IL-2) fused to the N-terminal region of the extracellular region of the a chain of the IFN gamma receptor (IFN g). This in vitro protein has T cell growth stimulating activity, inhibits IL-2 growth stimulating activity in T cells, inhibits the induction of HLA-DR by IFN g and inhibits the antiproliferative activity of IFN g. This can be applied in the medical field for the treatment of various diseases such as autoimmune diseases, transplant rejection, chronic inflammations, sepsis, ischemia and reperfusion syndrome and atherosclerosis. Claim 1: Recombinant chimeric protein composed of a cytosine or cytosine fragment covalently bound to the extracellular region of a cytosine receptor, or part thereof, linked by a peptide of more than 4 amino acids. |
