A tablet for oral administration, consisting of pravastatin in the form of a sodium salt, one or more fillers, binders, disintegrants, and / or lubricants, and an amino sugar as a pH adjusting agent (basifying), in an amount such that a dispersion of the tablet in water has a pH of 7.0 to 8.7.
