abstract |
An additive for a cementitious grout comprising flying ashes with a predominant particle size of up to 10 microns and / or aluminous material with a predominant particle size of up to 150 microns. The additive acts as a water reducing agent and can replace all or part of conventional plasticizers. The slurry includes one or both of the components indicated above and a mineral additive that is added in an amount sufficient to give a water reduction effect. The method of reducing water requirements includes adding an effective amount of one or both of the two components (ash or aluminous material) indicated above. |
